Deploy an application from a Docker image

Pull a prebuilt container image from a public or private registry and run it on a ready server.

Choose Add application in a project, select Container image, and enter the image reference, for example docker.io/library/nginx:latest or ghcr.io/acme/api:1.2.3. Bundar expands Docker Hub short names such as nginx to docker.io/library/nginx and namespaced references such as acme/api to docker.io/acme/api. Explicit references for other registries are kept as entered.

Public images do not need a registry integration. For a private image, choose an existing integration under Authentication, or select Add new integration. Enter the integration name, registry URL, username, and registry token. Use a token with the access the registry requires to pull the image; Bundar does not generate registry credentials. Then select that integration for this image.

Unlike a Git source, a prebuilt image does not need a Dockerfile or build step. Bundar pulls it on the selected server with Podman. Continue with the application name and choose Web application or Worker. You can set an optional command override, environment variables, and volumes. Web applications need a container port and optionally a domain; workers are not routed through the web proxy.

Choose a server that is online with Podman running. Web applications additionally require the Caddy proxy. Submit Create application to create the service and queue its initial deployment. For Git-based builds, see App from GitHub; for the full wizard, see Add an application.
