Add an application
Create an application in a project, choose its source and runtime settings, then deploy it to a ready server.
Applications belong to projects. Open an existing project and choose Add application. If you do not have a project yet, create one from Projects first. A deployable server must already be online with Podman installed. For a web application it must also have the Caddy proxy installed; a worker only needs Podman.
Choose a source
The first step offers three ways to start:
- Template creates a preconfigured application or stack. See App from a template.
- Container image pulls an existing image. See App from a Docker image.
- Git / source build builds from a Git repository. Public repositories can be entered directly; for GitHub App access, see App from GitHub.
Configure and deploy
For a regular application, enter its name and choose Web application or Worker. You can set an optional command override. The advanced step supports environment variables and volumes. Web applications also have a domain step where you can set the container's listening port and optionally add one or more domains; workers skip this step.
On the final step, select a ready server. Bundar preselects it when there is only one eligible server. The wizard filters servers by application type, so workers can use a Podman-ready host while web applications require both Podman and Caddy.
Choose Create application to create the application and queue its first deployment. Templates use Create and deploy and can create more than one application together. Bundar runs build or image-pull and container-start work on the selected server over SSH. If the first deployment cannot be queued, the application may still have been created; check the message in Bundar before trying again.
For web traffic, use the application's configured container port—the port the process listens on inside its container—and review Configure a domain. For the initial workspace and server steps, see Getting started.
